Onkyo & Pioneer (Sumida-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO Kenji Miyagi) has unveiled the SE-E8TW ‘Truly Wireless’ earphones.

The tech-packed E8s fit snugly in your ears thanks to secure ear fins (supplied in three sizes) which keep them locked in place. The Ear Direct Mount Structure aims the driver and nozzle into the inner ear for improved audio response, while the use of rare-earth magnet drivers and support for the AAC codec will energise your music. The E8s are IPX5-rated for water-resistance and include Ambient awareness earphone tips to keep you safe. Playback control, call management, and voice-assistant interaction can all be carried at the touch of a multi-function button, while the Pioneer Notification App for Android™ can read out email to the listener - and more - on the go.

1) Experience truly wireless sound and heart-pounding performance

The E8s are truly wireless, with no cable connecting the left and right earphones. You can immerse yourself in music while jogging, training, or exercising, free from the distraction that earphone cables bring. Elevate your endorphins with 6mm diamter (1/4˝) rare-earth magnet drivers. Controlled bass ramps up the impact of powerful music, while the AAC codec improves sound quality further. The Ear Direct Mount Structure features angled drivers and nozzles that aim sound straight into the inner ear, avoiding unwanted damping issues. Instead, sound quality is clear, detailed, and dynamic.

2) Stay in touch with your tunes

Three pairs of secure ear fins are supplied in S/M/L sizes, guaranteeing a perfect fit for any ear size and shape. The fins fit over the auricle and keep the E8s locked in place, making them almost impossible to shake free while exercising.

3) Smart features designed for athletes

Ambient awareness earphone tips keep you in touch with the world while maintaining musical immersion. The tips feature three narrow slits that allow low-level ambient sound into the ear, keeping you safe. Athletes will also love the IPX5 water-resistant earphones’ and the Multi-Function Button, which allows access to playback, phone answering, and voice-assistant functions.

4) Extended playback with compact carry case

Internal earphone batteries provide a maximum 3 hours continuous connection (including audio playback) on a single charge. The supplied carry case can recharge the earphones twice ‘on the go’, extending your listening time to about 9 hours. Shake the case and LEDs will indicate the battery charge remaining.

5) Exclusive Pioneer Notification App

The Pioneer Notification App for Android™ reads out notifications such as e-mail, SMS, and messages. It’s great when you can’t reach your phone while exercising. The app can alert you to calendar updates, read the latest news headlines to you, and much more.
