By the fall 2020 semester, the university began conducting hybrid classes with both face-to-face and remote students attending at the same time. The Bose Videobar VB1 met the exacting needs outlined by the university. The Bose VB1’s high-quality microphone performance was handy in situations where students were socially distanced throughout the classroom.

Each of the areas within General Bourke has its own feel and ambience. With such diverse spaces, it was critical the audio solution flowed as customers moved throughout the venue. TCP Director, Tony Musico, designed an audio system for General Bourke that utilized loudspeakers from the Bose Professional FreeSpace and EdgeMax product families.

The brand alignment between Emporium Hotel and Bose Professional to be a perfect match. “The decision to place Bose throughout the hotel had a lot to do with my personal experience,” John recalls. “Having Bose throughout my home, I knew the product and particularly the sound quality. We felt to align with the amazingness of our rooms, we needed to have amazing sound and a product that would blow the guests away. Guests love the Bose equipment, and it’s a talking point for most.”

Onion is a big barge on the River Thames. In the spring of 2020, at the start of the pandemic, Renaud taught himself the harmonica and came up with the creative idea to use Onion as a floating stage for musicians who couldn’t find other gigs because of social distancing requirements and shutdown policies. The boat needed an audio solution that could handle loud sound levels to cut through wind and carry over to people talking and dining while also providing sound clarity at lower volumes.
