The Elac DS-A101 amplifier is an all-rounder integrated in a small chassis. It works like a regular integrated amplifier, but thanks to Roon Ready, AirPlay and Bluetooth support, it expands the functions to include streaming both from a LAN network and wirelessly over Wi-Fi. The icing on the cake is the correction of the acoustics of the listening room using calibration algorithms within the control application for iOS and Android.
Boosting BASH technologies
The heart is a brand new BASH amplifier, capable of delivering up to 85W per channel. The BASH design uses a modulated switching power supply in conjunction with a classic class AB output stage. At a rate of 400,000 switches per second, the source follows the incoming audio signal so that the AB amplifier receives the voltage it needs at any moment. That's why it can cope with today's normally large dynamic fluctuations of music and film recordings. The efficiency and potential of the amplifier is therefore used to the maximum.
Unlimited connectivity
Signal sources can be connected to the amplifier via conventional analog (RCA) or digital (Toslink) inputs. The amp also has a built-in streamer. In the Roon system, you will immediately discover it as an added zone after connecting to a common computer network. AirPlay and Bluetooth also enable wireless streaming. One pair of screw terminals is provided for the speakers. The versatility of the DS-A101 amplifier also supports an output for an active subwoofer.
The flexibility of controlling a richly equipped application
The Elac mobile application, free to download for iOS and Andriod, enables complete setup of the entire system. The app also has innovative features that are not common in this product category.
AB&C (Auto Blend and Calibrate) technology
In connection with an iOS or Android device, the application measures the frequency response of the main speakers and the subwoofer, based on which it sets the optimal crossover frequency of the subwoofer. The result of the Auto Blend function is the perfect integration of clean and clear bass. Room Calibration adjusts the balanced frequency response of the entire sound band exactly to your listening position and the acoustics of the room.
Naming the entry
Simply name each input according to the device connected to it. The rewritten name will appear in the application as well as on the front OLED display of the amplifier.
Learning remote control commands
The application allows you to teach the amplifier to respond to commands from any of your most used remote controls, e.g. from the TV.
