Multiple amplifiers in one
Aune presents a totally versatile headphone amplifier that is able to suit all your tastes. In fact, it offers the ability to switch between three amplification modes and between different digital filters. You can switch freely between all of them and choose the sound that best suits your taste. One amplifier circuit is a classic transistor amplifier made up of a combination of OP and BUF chips. The other circuit amplifies purely using a vacuum tube. You have a third choice - a combination of these two circuits, which will give you a high quality and a slight touch of "tube sound".
Countless possibilities in a small body
Despite all its features, the Flamingo has a relatively small, great-looking body. From the front, there is a 6.35mm headphone output, a volume wheel, a vacuum tube and an OLED display that legibly shows the currently selected input, digital filter and gain mode. This can be easily switched by double-pressing the volume wheel. The Bluetooth version supports Hi-Res codecs such as aptX HD and LDAC, so you can listen in high quality from your phone, for example. On the back of the device there is a power input, USB input, coaxial input, Bluetooth antenna and analogue RCA output. This makes it easy to use the Flamingo as a DAC and preamplifier for active speakers or a powerful amplifier. These inputs, combined with the device's very good specs - 768kHz/32-bit playback, DSD512, THD+N 0.0003% and up to 45mW of power at 300 ohms - make the Flamingo an absolutely versatile device that will meet all your needs.“
