Cabasse, a French company founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, has always been committed to the perfect reproduction of music and sound without any alteration, colouration, or distortion. Driven by research and the desire to constantly innovate, Cabasse invented and developed the coaxial speaker technology. This technology allows several speakers to be housed in a small space, offering music lovers the essence and thrill of pure sound.
Based since 2003 in the Technopole of Brest, (facing the famous harbor of Brest, Brittany), the premises of La Maison Cabasse is equipped with a 500 m3 anechoic chamber, essential for carrying out reliable acoustic measurements. Designed without solid connections with the building which surrounds it apart from the ground, for an almost perfect sound insulation. The R&D team also uses an underground bunker fitted out specifically for carrying out power and reliability tests.
Since 2016, a 1200 square meter workshop has also been created for the manufacture of high-end loudspeakers. There is also a repair workshop for Cabasse systems (specificity of the brand and will of its creator, some speakers being guaranteed for life, even the oldest ones) whose parts can be replaced, completely redone or repaired on measurement… result of a unique know-how.
